Appreciation First (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the Appreciation First mobile application (the “App”) and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.


  1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect limited information that you voluntarily provide when using the Services, including:

  • onboarding responses and preferences

  • appreciation goals and wellbeing preferences

  • streak and completion information

  • notification preferences

  • support or feedback messages submitted through the App

  • subscription and purchase status information

We do not currently require account creation.

We do not intentionally collect:

  • phone numbers

  • mailing addresses

  • government identification information

  • payment card details

  • passwords


  1. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

  • personalize your appreciation experience

  • deliver daily prompts and reminders

  • maintain streaks and progress tracking

  • improve app functionality and user experience

  • manage premium subscriptions and access

  • respond to support requests and feedback

  • protect the Services and prevent misuse


  1. PAYMENTS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

Payments and subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

We do not directly collect, process, or store payment card information or billing details.

We may use third-party subscription management services, such as RevenueCat, to manage subscription access and entitlement status within the App.


  1. DATA STORAGE

Most user information is stored locally on your device using secure device storage systems.

Some limited subscription-related information may be processed by trusted third-party providers required for App functionality.

Although we use reasonable safeguards, no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure.


  1. DATA RETENTION

We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain subscription functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Most reflection entries, preferences, and progress information are stored locally on your device and remain there until you delete the App, reset the App's data, or remove the information yourself.

Where third-party service providers process limited information (such as subscription status or anonymous analytics), retention is governed by their respective privacy policies.

If you request deletion of any personal information we control, we will delete it within a reasonable timeframe unless we are required by law to retain it.


  1. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

If enabled, we may send notifications related to:

  • daily appreciation reminders

  • streak reminders

  • app-related updates

You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.


  1. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Services may use trusted third-party providers to support app functionality, analytics, subscriptions, notifications, and performance monitoring.

These providers may collect limited technical, device, and usage-related information necessary to operate and improve the Services.

Third-party services used by the App may include:

  • Apple App Store

  • Google Play Store

  • RevenueCat

  • Expo services

  • Vexo Analytics

Analytics information may include anonymous usage events such as onboarding completion, feature usage, app sessions, and interaction patterns. We do not currently use analytics to personally identify users.


  1. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.


  1. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • request access to your information

  • request deletion of your information

  • request correction of inaccurate information

You may also reset locally stored data by uninstalling the App or using available reset options within the App.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services, including hosted legal documents or external resources.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.


  1. INTERNATIONAL USERS

The Services are operated from Australia.

If you access the Services from outside Australia, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in Australia or other countries where our service providers operate.


  1. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.

Your continued use of the Services after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
